Hello, My name is Nathan Garrett. I am a music education/audio production major here at Ohio State.
I work at Radio Shack in Delaware, and live in Marengo, OH. I have many hobbies I enjoy outside of work and school, but very little time to enjoy them. I am a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and spend a great deal of time watching NFL games during the regular and post season. I also like to play some video games including a couple first-person shooters, and sports games but I can't even remember the last time I've been able to do so. My main hobby, and the one that takes up most of my available time, is music. I love creating my own music, and collaborating with others on theirs. I sing in the university A Capella group, InChant, as well as play in a relatively new local band "Altus". I listen to and have an appreciation for nearly every type of music out there, and it is my main emotional outlet, and source of contentment.
One of my primary source of inspiration is my mother, as cliche as it may be. She raised my sister and I as a single Mother, from the time we were 3 and 4 years old respectively. She has had a multitude of health problems throughout her life, both mental and physical. And still found a way to provide for us in ways that many households with two healthy parents are not. Our needs we always met, no matter what it meant she may have to go without. And she was always there to help us when we had our typical childhood problems, and adolescent meltdowns. Although she was diagnosed with Lupus a few months ago, and is now unable to work the hours she is accustomed to, she has still been an emotional "rock" for me through some difficult times of my own.
"Though it may be hard to imagine, I was even more of an introvert growing up than I am today, Tony on the other hand was like a porch-light on a summer evening, attracting all sorts of attention with his outgoing and genuinely friendly personality, along with his razor-sharp wit and sense of humor."
