Dali Lama and MLK reading
Part one, “When have to concoct an answer for a five years old son who is asking: “Daddy, why do white people treat colored people so mean?”; when you take a cross-country drive and find it necessary to sleep night after night in the uncomfortable corners of your automobile because no motel accept you; when you humiliated day in and day out nagging reading “white” and “colored”; when your first name become “nigger”, your middle name become “boy “and your last name becomes “john” and your wife and mother are never given the respected title “Mrs.”….” I choose this passage from the letter because I think shows how mistreated martin Luther king Jr been through and how he feel embarrassed to make up an answer for a five years ,this passage is very touching because talked more about slavery and how they been insulted in their own country. “Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where the people are fed, and where individuals & nations are free. True peace with oneself and with the world around us can only be achieved through the development of mental peace.” I choose this passage from Dalai Lama because inner peace is very important for our spirit to feel free and self-regulating; peace is the biggest part of being free from everything stress, being depressed and also less number of suicidal in society.
Part two, I think on a habit that could develop and might promote peace is to stop cyber bullies anywhere because the number being bullied is increasing to the point that the victims are committing suicide which is very bad, and what can stop being bullied to help one another for example to talk to about it more in local communities and schools and everywhere that is happening around and the consequences that person he/she can face if they kept doing it , I think that can decrease the numbers and encourage peace
