"Ain't Scared of your Jails
From the film, "Ain't Scared of your Jails" the problems of segregation was finally taking notice. Colored students and even some white students started taking action towards segregation. They used the tactic "sit in" and freedom riders. A student that took part of it said, "Not to be stopped nor to be joked with" Him and many other students walked through the streets and the whites were feeling afraid. When they all walked together, the whites felt afraid. It was important for the colored people to start taking action so that the mayor and presidents and the whites now that what they are doing is morally wrong. I thought the most successful tactic was the sit ins. Although there were some injuries and jail time, in the end, the mayor finally made the stance that segregation was wrong and that they should be treated equally as the whites.

it was great stratagy how they were able demonstarate inside the workshop
ReplyDeleteIt was smart of them to compel the mayor to give his honest opinion on discrimination. Many people began to allow black customers into their businesses after the mayor admitted that he thought it was wrong to judge people solely on skin color.
