Diana Nash was on of the students who was leading the civil rights movement and tried to integrate sit-ins for black people. Diana Nash started attending Lawson's workshops which eventually evolved into the sit-ins, " I felt outraged by the blatant racism, and i started looking for organization that were doing something". They went as a group to demonstrate their right on to the restaurants where there weren't allowed to be served. the first week of sit-ins had no effect on the white society. Weeks later, many white people started to assault the peaceful sit-ins protest of the black students who were demonstrating their non-violent rights.
