Blog post on today's readings

My favorite passage from Martin Luther King's letter is this one " sometimes a law is just on its face and unjust in its application. For instance, I have been arrested on a charge of parading without a permit. Now,  there is nothing wrong in having an ordinance which requires a permit for a parade. But such an ordinance becomes unjust when it is used to maintain segregation and deny citizens the First Amendment privilege of peaceful assembly and protest".

My second favorite passage from Dalai Lama  is where it says " peace can only last where human rights are respect, where the people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free. True peace with oneself and with the world around us can only be achieved through the development of mental peace".

This two passages are my favorite passages because the first passage is showing how some of the Law's has been used in wrong ways and at the same time it says it's used the right and you really can see it. My second favorite passage is important because its talking about peace and how its important for the human being.

My own ideas on a habit that could develop and might promote peace is stop the Wars that are going around the world. If all the Wars stops every thing will be okay and peace will come along with it.

This habit might give some of that inner peace that the Dalai Lama  wrote about because he is persuading the people and telling them how the peace is more important for us and the society.
