What really was the most important to me was the fact students used "non-violent" techniques to protest knowing that they were in danger of being attacked by angry mobs or the police.

I learn a lot from this but what stood out the most would be the fact that some put their lives in danger for the freedom of others.

"Freedom rides" would be the most successful out of all the techniques the studenst used; mainly because it involved going from city to city to city to show that nothing was going to stop them to promote freedom in every corner of the United States.
